Formby Beach

On Saturday me and Ryan took Tigger to formby beach, and it was beautiful ! after last weeks horrendous winds it was so calm and peaceful we even went down to the sea. We saw some starfish & a red squirrel which i was more than pleased about as i thought there was barely any left anymore.

My website will be used for events like horse trials and big portraits shoots. 

Upcoming.

On Monday I'm off to Manchester and my camera is coming too, which is like a leap into the unknown for me, because I'm not a landscape/cityscape kind of person, I've never mastered it or taken a photograph I've really liked. So I'm going to try, i may do a few portraits of my friend on the train to.

In the coming months, I'm going to do 'simple' portraits, which i will admit again isn't what i usually do, i like big idea's lots of props & beautiful dresses, but sometimes things need to be toned down and go back to basics. So keep your eyes peeled ! i will be back with photos Monday, maybe sooner, we'll see what the weekend brings. 

Creative creations

Helloo, everybody :) 

Recently I've been trying to be more simple, with my photo's which I'm finding harder than being creative !, I'm a creative person and once an idea starts it can spiral. Due to being busy in work I've struggled to find photo graphical things ! i know there is plenty around me, but i don't like plain things !, I'm not really a landscape person, I've never taken a photograph of a landscape I've been proud of, i don't know what it is, it's just not my thing. 

So i though how about self portraits, it can't be to hard ... well i was wrong, so wrong ! it's actually harder to take a self portrait than photograph anything else, (well i think so anyway). So i did a few, but i didn't like them as they where, so like a few other photographs I've tried editing them to make it look like its a multiple exposure, and i love the effect it gives, i prefer these in black and white. 

Whilst i was in creative mode, i also wanted to do a few different things with people doing unusual things, so i put my brother in a tea cup. To my surprise it worked out well, which is always a great feeling !.

This last image is one i made in photoshop,following a tutorial in digital photo magazine and I'm very pleased with it, I've always wanted to be able to do something like this !.

winter photoshoot...

Hello everyone, for the last few weeks I've been planning my winter fairy tale, as you may have seen. I did the shoot this weekend but unfortunately the weather was horrendous so i had to do the shoot indoors, which was a shame as i had planned a lot. So for the time being these are the photographs for the shoot, but i may re-do it at a later date when/if the weather perks up slightly. I know that these aren't my best series i've done, especially as i haven't done anything in a while (lesson learnt,don't do too much after not doing anything for a month or so).so i'm going to shoot something/someone every week and hopefully have a blog up every week. I do have a few more i want to edit and play around with, i will update this post when they're done.

A very happy christmas

Hello everybody !, hope you've all had a lovely Christmas . 

I've not been on here as I've not had much to update on, i have been planning for my winter wonderland shoot, and gathering my props up and making them plus arranging dates, i think i pretty much have everything need to do another practise run for the make up. It looks like we're not getting any snow here :( so it will have to be photoshop snow instead. My lovely model is also supplying the cupcakes for the shoot too !, The shoot will be the beginning of January hopefully :) I'm practising all my photoshop techniques i am going to need. I was hoping to have a new portrait lens to use, but i don't know what to get, help ?! if you have any ideas let me know, my facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/AFPhotography12  or comment on this post.

Update: Winter Fairytale

As alot of you may know I'm planning a winter fairytale photoshoot. I've bought a dress which i will use as i am not sure I'm going to find a wedding dress. I also bought some very cute tea cups and saucers. I will put photographs up of the dress & tea cups & candle holders. I want to set up a little table with candles, tea cups & cupcakes on, like you'd see in any pretty fairytale, right ?.

The make up is going to be very blue and icy, which i'm going to practice because i want it to be just right.

I really wanted some snow in this photoshoot, but i can't wait forever for it to arrive and we might not get any, i'm looking for a snow machine but i don't think i can afford one, so I've been watching plenty of videos on how to create snow in photoshop, i know, not as fun as the real snow, but it needs to look like winter. 

Winter Fairytale

So as some of you will know I love pinterest  ! and after seeing this gorgeous photograph ( http://www.pinterest.com/pin/212584044884691860/ ) it sparked a wave of idea's. I have a perfect person in mind to model for me, i just have to ask her first. I really want to create a winter fairy tale, snow and all !. 
Problem is i live in Southport & we rarely get snow and if we do it's minimal :( if any. So I'm looking for some fake snow or a snow machine, if anyone knows where i can borrow or buy one or find some fake snow for not very much money let me know i will link my facebook page or you can comment on this post . I'm also on the hunt for a ivory/white wedding dress with lace sleeves,
